WILD TIRES!
The Wild Tires Tour is wrapping up and incase you didn’t follow us along on Facebook, Twitter, on the radio or at the shows I thought I’d tell you about our adventures!
It all started in Moose Jaw where we visited Brandon at Country 100! It was a pleasure to go on air with him and so bittersweet to reminisce our favourite Robin Williams movies after the tragic news of his passing. Billy even ended the interview with a little tribute to Robin Williams as the genie in Aladdin!
From Moose Jaw it was off to Regina for the afternoon where we met up with Patrick from 620 CKRM! Thanks again Patrick for choosing my new single Country Wild as the Farm Fresh Song of the day! 🙂
Billy and I headed back to Moose Jaw for the evening where we performed at 23 Main Street Cafe. A warm and modern coffee shop it was the perfect setting for an evening acoustic show! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us.
After a brief stop to admire Lake Reed Billy and I got settled in Medicine Hat.
The following afternoon we headed to CHAT 94.5 to play a few songs for the lovely staff! We had such a blast meeting with Steve and the entire staff including the cutest little puppy!
On the evening of August 15th Billy J White and I geared up for a show at Oly’s Alehouse in Medicine Hat. The crowd was so welcoming and we made sure to promise we would come back and see them on our next tour!
From there we drove through the night headed to Kamloops. We arrived earlier then we expected and didn’t have a hotel booked till the next day. All the rooms in every hotel were booked for the night except for the King Suite in the Sandman Signature hotel. We enjoyed luxury for the night in our suite complete with a dishwasher!
With a day off to relax we decided to hit the mountains for a hike! We climbed a black diamond trail in Perterson Creek Park. Let me just say it was a lot easier going up then coming down! I made it out alive 😀
After a well earned night’s sleep Billy and I visited Howie at Country 103. Thanks again to Howie for having us and letting us play “Okay With Alright” live on air!
From Kamloops Billy J and I made our way to Vancouver! Unfortunately a few of the shows and meetings we had planned in Vancouver were cancelled. But we took advantage of our days off to enjoy the city! From a gourmet meal at Earl’s restaurant to a trip to the aquarium to a walk around the SeaWall and Stanley Park we definitely enjoyed the beauty of BC!
After a wonderful week in BC Billy and I said goodbye and headed back into Alberta. Our first stop was Sun Country Radio. We were up bright and early to help Steph host the morning show. Not sure any of us were awake 😛 but we had a blast chatting and playing a few songs on air!
That afternoon we also made a stop at 96.5 CKFM in Olds Alberta to see Jeff. Billy and I each got to do a short interview and play him one of our tunes. Thanks again Jeff for having us in!
On Wednesday August 27th Billy and I set up for an afternoon show in Red Deer at City Roast Cafe. What appeared to be a small coffee and sandwich shop was flooded with people during the lunch hour! It was a lot of fun to play for such a great crowd and to enjoy some of the delicious food ourselves 🙂
Before the day was over we had the pleasure of stopping in for a quick visit with Abbey White at CKGY Red Deer.
The following day we got to enjoy another afternoon show at the BayView Cafe in Sylvan Lake! Thanks again for having us all afternoon and to everyone who bought CDs!
After our show we took a trip to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, the biggest Dinosaur museum and learning centre. WOW! It was AMAZING! I definitely recommend you check it out if you love dinosaurs as much as Billy does 🙂 or even if you don’t!
Friday we were off to Airdrie for a show at Krave Steakhouse. The crowd was filled with friendly faces. We were happy to play all night long and make new friends and fans. Thanks again for having us, we will definitely be back for a visit next time we are in town!
We are now settled in Edmonton and very much looking forward to CCMA Week! We have one more radio visit tomorrow at The One in Leduc, so tune in!
